You are the most important part of the Wings Conference.

The Wings Conference started as a grassroots collaboration amongst community partners, private businesses, and concerned citizens with a simple premise, that we want to be the state that leads our nation (with even bigger aspirations) regarding innovative climate solutions. We believe that we are stronger and better when we work together. That climate discussions require many voices and communities represented because climate solutions and action need to be for all.

The initial gathering owed success to many allies: The Technology Association of Oregon and Prosper Portland brought vast experience in community and tech. The University of Portland and Portland State University infused educational expertise. Climate Curious, The Lemelson Foundation, and The Northeast STEAM Coalition pricelessly helped organize. Smith & Jones Innovation brought event producing expertise, earned from TEDx events and some of the nation’s most inspiring complex conferences in science, technology, and community.

We identified Portland as the perfect city to host the Wings conference and we’re grateful for the partnerships we’ve cultivated with local organizations from the Portland Seed Fund, VertueLab, and Portland State University. Their insights and commitment to the Wings conference has been invaluable.

But the one thing every contributing member offers, whether they are a sponsor, Impact Partner, speaker, organizer, etc… is that we are committed to finding and inviting the voices that need to be heard and represented in these critical conversations.

And this is why you are the most important part of the Wings origin story. Whatever comes from Wings—a new policy, change in behavior, new connections, or a new product or service—it will be because of you who attend and what you bring.

We’re confident of these two things:

• April 25th, 2024 will be Oregon’s best and most vital climate focused conference for the climate technology community in Oregon.

• The conference won’t yet be what it can be. And to get it where we can go, we will need you.
